America is passionate about saving babies, just not once they grow up and have babies of their own.

So much for ‘pro life’, haha!
walker, texas hospital. priceless.
Women in the Northern stretches on Canada have trouble too, because doctors don’t want to go work up north. The mothers are insured, of course, because that’s what a humane, civilized country does. But finding a doctor , ah, there’s the rub.
This is so true. I work in one of the largest hospitals in Kentucky, on the edge of the Appalachian region. Women travel up to 2 hours to come here for specialized maternity care.
I live in Kenya, and there are four hospitals that offer pre-natal and post-natal care within a ten-mile radius from my home. I guess there are some third-world countries that are doing better than Texas.
And I complain that my hospital was 15 mins away by WaLKING… SMH. Off course I don’t live in America.
This is really important — a vital issue that gets far too little attention.
How far away is the Handmaid’s Tale now 🤔
This is no mistake people
Meanwhile they keep voting Republicans. That’s like shooting yourself in the foot and blaming the store that sold you the gun for your own injury. Wait, they do that too.
You know, I don’t give women enough credit for continuing to have babies. It’s dangerous. Certainly doesn’t need to be more dangerous than it should be.
After the safe delivery of my first child I asked Dr. Karolina Adam, my MFM/OB, a question about the new baby’s hacking and coughing. Dr. Karolina Adam quipped, “I’m the doctor for the mom! The baby will need to get her own doctor”. After seeing this piece, I’m so grateful for her laser focus and care for me. #BabiesAreOnlyHalfOfTheEquation
Depressing but useful.
So the same republicans that are pro-life aren’t fighting to keep the mothers alive with healthcare? That’s some dumb logic there
This is why I don’t understand the Republicans pro-life stance, because obviously they’re not. They’re pro-colonial era
How tf is this trending tho
I live in Georgia and I’ve met a bunch of people who drove over an hour to deliver their baby in Atlanta. It’s crazy… We definitely don’t have enough hospitals. Unfortunately our state administration is too preoccupied about drug use and gun rights to worry about healthcare. It’s no accident we never expanded Medicare and Medicaid. :/
Look at Hollywood commenting on rural America as if they have any idea 😂
