Decriminalizing drugs is fine. Making me pay for their healthcare…no thanks. Nobody forced you to shoot heroin into veins. You do the drugs, then YOU pay the consequences. It’s called personal responsibility kids.

If 40,000 die in these red states a month from obesity because they feel that guns and abortion justify voting GOP instead of a party who wants to actually help them , then I’m all for just waiting it out. Darwinism will solve the problem for us.

Gee, the solution the guest mentioned sounded awfully similar to Bernie Sanders’ campaign platform… then the video cuts off. Lol. Typical.

Chris hedges has been saying this for years. And wrote his book way before this guy.

Coronavirus will be the end of Trump because this pandemic will illuminate his incompetence for gutting all our health experts…

Depression is the lack of hope. And leads to substance abuse, including eating junk food. How do we provide hope in a disconnected community? Many (including the government, via tax exemption) think churches and religion is the answer. However, this is failing (or failed too). We need to build REAL communities, and connection…rather than isolation, rugged individualism, and hyper-consumerism in our divided cities and towns.

Bill Mahar is so gullible and doesn’t even realize it. When a right-wing Trump-loving Republican starts to support a Democratic candidate, that’s when you begin to be skeptical about that candidate.

wow. Drinking soda & eating chips is not self-medicating. It’s just a bad habit which is hard to kick. Executive functions (frontal lobe, hindered by many possible things (accident, illness, lack of sleep, alcohol, etc.)) play a huge role in that problem. So the path from depression to obesity is very indirect and partial. Facts still matter, esp when you want to solve a real, non-fictional problem.
