This is why word inflation is a problem: You can try to change reality by redefining words, but it won’t work – it just stops you from dealing with it.

Find Real Time with Bill Maher on HBO GO® http://itsh.bo/iioY87.

It’s HBO.

Absolutely spot on. At some point we, the vast majority of citizens who get this need to figure out how to blunt the impact the idiots who don’t. Like the down votes on this video….who are these morons? Maybe this woke bs will eventually burn itself out as they continue to eat their own vying for the title of biggest victim.

Radical communist socialist utopian woke agenda experimental vaccine freedom …. plenty anti-vocabulation on the right. Not an argument against anything on your list of foolidity, just a an attempt to keep it fair and balanced —- oh, never mind.

    1. If some blowhard on TV is going to mansplain to me how I don’t know what the word “shame” means, it sure as fuck ain’t gonna be Bill Maher. At least if it was some obnoxiously fragile person from the trending marginalized community of your choice, they would represent some kind of valid point, even if they themselves don’t represent it very well. BM’s point is, “quit trying to make me learn stuff. In old and rich, and I don’t wanna.”
Oh, so sorry, Bill. Let’s all rearrange our lesson plans and vocabularies and the way bathrooms work to accommodate *you.* Let’s all learn a lesson about the meaning of the word “shame” from this pale and ancient comedian who gets a live hour on HBO every single week, and uses it to do the same Johnny Carson impression he practiced into his hairbrush when he was nine, and remaining absolutely shameless and oblivious to the irony that drips out of every syllable of this apish attempt to signal that he’s on the same page as Dave Chappelle, because he has sniffed a fart in the wind that makes him suspect that being a vice-signaling edgelord is gonna make him trend all the way up to the top 50 on YouTube so he can feel as relevant as dudeperfect for an afternoon. Ted Cruz is sitting in the Senate making marijuana even more illegal than abortions, and you’re up here on HB fucking O, using George the fuck Carlin’s name, and calling out…. Who??? Some trainee on tinder? Some person I’ve never heard of who got molested so badly he put on a dress and started calling himself Angelica? Is that who I’m supposed to get mad at when I hear you talk about *your* feelings, Bill Maher??

Pander carefully, or they’ll give that hour to the man who deserves it.

All on board with this message except for the statistical error that was implied regarding overweight people and covid. Yes, 78% of covid deaths were in overweight or obese Americans, but that is approximately in line with the 70% of Americans who are overweight or obese. So that statement is a bit disingenuous as it implies the risk of covid complications being greater in fat people than it truly is.

As a concession, Nirvana album cover now has disclaimer stating objects are larger than they appear.

The Islamic women are not forced to wear the suit. It is part of their religious observation. Like Amish folks in the US wearing plain clothes and covering their heads. These women feel that wearing those robes is keeping them pure and faithful. It dose not surprise me that an Atheist would not grasp the meaning of a lifestyle driven by faith alone.

And of course the baby on the Nirvana album all grown up now the only reason that he’s suing is because he’s hoping to get money because that’s all people care about is money and any excuse to get it. Cuz I’m sorry if you are truly a baby you are not traumatized because you were too young to even realize what’s going on

Its ironic that Maher calls out the left for going too far, which is based very much on simply hating Trump, and then peppers his comments with I-hate-Trump comments that are irrational based on common sense. That’s called pandering to the anti-Trump crowd to keep his ratings high. He does it, clearly, in order to keep his anti-Trump people watching while simultaneously insulting them for letting their own I-hate-Trump mentality go too far. What’s the word Im looking for… irony… hypocrisy… greed… ironohypogreed.
