Our real division isn’t between red and blue; it’s between the people on both sides who aren’t willing to mingle with Americans outside their political tribe.

It’s HBO.

One of the saddest aspects of US culture is that it seems rife with tribalism, narcissism, deceit, assholes, and all their codependents. While the US may seem remarkable on the outside, their toxic and conflicting personalities are also a recipe for disaster.

I’ll talk to anyone about anything. I don’t care who you vote for. That’s not my business.

    MISSION IMPOSSIBLE

Maher’s attempt to be honest and at the same time keep his WOKE credentials is getting more tortured by the day.

Jesus Bill give the moral equivalency a rest. I’m gradually watching him less and less. The other day he said in an interview that John Oliver wins Emmys and he doesn’t because he “tells the truth”. No it’s because Oliver does impeccable research and understands what a threat to Democracy looks like. I can’t go up to someone and say “hi I’m Kit… oh you believe the earth is flat and that the Pope is being held underground while Trump secretly runs the country? Fascinating! I disagree but let’s go get coffee.” Give me a break.

omg yes! I was recently talking to a relative of mine and told her about a time when I worked in a very rural area and they made me feel really welcome as I was the only person of color and female there. So in return, I would also try to bridge the gap by telling them about my culture. She seriously said, it’s not your job to educate them.. I just stopped talking after that lol. Everyone just refuses to see other people’s perspective but want theirs to be understood.

Wasn’t there a Democrat bubble that tried to claim Russia got Trump elected…which turned out to be BS fabricated by the Clinton campaign?

Ideally, it would be great if we could all courteously agree to disagree.
When I was younger, Dems and Republicans all basically wanted the best for this country, but different approaches. Some fundamental differences in philosophy and political agendas, but still able to work across the aisle. As someone who was Republican most of my life, I don’t think that party is pro America anymore.
They are profoundly and horrifically compromised. They are beholden to Russia, Arabia and other long time enemies.
They tried to overthrow our damn government, for God’s sake. So no, I don’t want to “get along” with traitors to my country.

I’d refuse to be around an annoying Trump voter way faster than an annoying SJW but the key word is “annoying”. Most people are pretty chill especially if you are too. If they ask me about Trump I won’t hold back on what a dangerous, petulant, greed pig of a loser I think that he is. I won’t candy-coat it like I used to. I would just hope that the voter doesn’t take it personally so of course I’d mention that but the time is over to pretend on any level that Trump isn’t a fascist liar and potential traitor.

No one voted for Biden, MOST voted against Trump; translating to Biden won.
