Didn’t know that this is a thing in the USA. Here in switzerland nobody cares. If two adults want to do what adults like to do and its consentual, no one cares. USA the home of prudes and puritans.

ReplyI’m an attorney, and the workplace rules are there because without them, sexual harassment claims that cost hundreds of thousands of dollars for the employer to defend will happen. The couple might break up on bad terms . . . lawsuit. A manager gives his girlfriend a good review and a bad review to her co-worker . . . lawsuit. Also workplace relationships still happen. The reason you report them to the company is to ensure that the company can modify its behavior, not to let the company meddle in your relationship.
ReplyWhile Bill does make plenty of interesting points but this is another example of him being a Jaded Idealist. What I mean is this is another New Rule where he basically asks why can’t we give people the benefit of the doubt? Oh sure even he points out on how certain things can go wrong but that being said it is a bit odd on how stigmatized Office Romance can be.

ReplyAmericans are the biggest hypocrites in life, the system is set up for failure. If you don’t have any money, you’re unattractive and if you work your ass off 50-60 hours & a side-hustle because of the economy, How and where are you ever supposed to find love?
