This actually made me overthink a few of my positions, i.e. about pride month. Ngl I was pretty annoyed with corporations stuffing gays down our throats. We get it, you guys exist. For me, a millennial, the presence and existence of gays if completely normal. I didn’t get why to make such a fuss about it. Turns out, there’s been a world b.m. (before me) and pride month is a tradition based on events from that time.
ReplyActually, the environment is in a lot of ways better now than in the past. It is true global warming wasn’t a problem, yet. But London in the late 19th C was a mess due to all the coal burning. We don’t have things like Love Canal in the US anymore. The Clean Air and Clean Water Acts made a huge difference.

ReplyRaytheon paying lip service to social issues doesn’t make them good. For most companies it’s all performative anyways. SOmething they can do to virtue signal instead of actually doing something good for the country.
