    It makes me sad that Trevor thought art was a European thing. It makes me sad that anyone believes that. It’s one thing that a group of people defines things in a way that is only for their self interest and has no base in reality. It makes me sad that people believe it.

    I could listen to Nelson Makamo for hours. Not only is he a wonderful artist, he is a great speaker and oral history-teller. He reminds me of our Native Elders. He speaks with purpose, lessons, perspective and wisdom waaayy beyond his years

    Alot of art was created in africa… its through colonialism and the control of the media where it was considered a European phenomena. Just look at picasso he stole many African artists rendition of sculptures and paintings..go research it.
