I find it ironic that there was a commercial with Matt Damon before this video

Hi, my name is Laney! In 2014, I rescued the sweetest dog ever. Her name is Lily, she is a pit bull mix, and she has had a pretty traumatic past. When I saw her at the animal shelter, I was informed that she was abused by her previous owner, had cigarette burns on her legs, had just given birth, and was very malnourished. I knew that she was meant to be mine, though. When I brought her home that day, she was super curious, but I could tell that she was happy to finally be in a safe environment. Over the past 4 years, we have grown so close, and she is my best friend. Recently, though, Lily has suffered from a spinal injury that has left her unable to use her back legs. We took her to NC State Veterinary Hospital after being referred by our regular veterinarian. As it turns out, she has a compressed disc and a slight fracture. It has been extremely heartbreaking to see her feeling so puny because she is usually a happy and charismatic dog. She has been a trooper during this experience. I would even go as far to say that she has been stronger than I have been throughout all of this. Since taking her in, she has truly saved me and now I want to save her. The veterinarians think that performing surgery on Lily is going to give her the best chance at a full recovery, and will put her back on the right track. However, the MRI and surgery fees are quite expensive. If you feel inclined to donate, I would greatly appreciate it! Even if it is $5, every little bit helps. If you are unable to make a donation toward her recovery, a simple share or prayers are also GREATLY appreciated. Thank you all so much! https://www.gofundme.com/4y36x4-lilys-road-to-recovery
