It reminds me of a conman I met in Spain. He made people invest in a pyramid scheme that looked like a good investment but did not really exist. When the crisis came in 2008-2009, people wanted their money and all of a sudden that was not possible. When people became desperate he told them that they just should invest some more to make their luck turn and get their money back. This how DT operates as well. If you are not satisfied then you should elect me for another four years so your luck will turn. It is how casinos get rich. If a person has lost everything in gambling he just should take another chance.
