She is the best
ReplyQuite the thigh gap on her monster character there..
ReplyForget the earth is burning, a woman of color is playing a cartoon character! THE OUTRAGE!!!!
ReplyMindy is Not telling the full truth, the main reason Twitter got angry was because the new Velma show that was announced is Retconning the whole idea of “ScoobyDoo” and the other characters. The fact that its a show about the Velma character in a world where Scooby Doo or other supporting characters doesnt exist makes no sense to me. Its not a Velma story its literally a detective who just happens to be named Velma.
ReplyAt first I was worried a forty year-old Mindy was playing a teenaged Velma. Realizing it was just for the voice of an animated character, I was fine with it.

REM? Counting Crows? I thought I was her age…. and I felt that’s “basic” if I time traveled to then.
ReplyThe problem with the 90s was that “realism” when in reality a lot of us were geting VHS fan sub Anime, playing video games, and downloading music. It was FAR more colorful, then counting crows’ “this is real emotions that we should feel when we are 28 years old.”
Wtf happened to her face.
ReplyI love Mindy!
ReplyAnother question is: why is a scooby doo movie the appropriate use of her talents? Does her agent hate culture AND comedy?
ReplyIsn’t Velma supposed to be Japanese?
ReplyUnseen, she’s a perfect “Velma” there’s NO way criticism is going to stick. Velma was plucky and intrepid!
ReplyPlease Mindy, go away. No one cares.
ReplyMindy is a little peanut butter fudge brownie
ReplyI love her character Val. Sweet, perky and funny
