First of all, the definition of feminism is that women are equal to men. That’s it. A stay at home mom is fire. A woman executive is fire. Straight women are fire, GLBSTUVWXYZ (seriously I can’t keep track anymore) women are fire. So many “feminists” put their own agenda on it that it actually discredits the movement. That said, what Mikki is saying is valid. It took women to fight for women and it still does. Let’s just stop putting our subjective little conditions on it. Every woman is valid and equal. Every one.

I understand that this issue affects women disproportionatly, but shouldnt this be an issue of hood equality? Men and women in the “hood” are both preeetty fucked.

Women have always had power! They control the destiny of 3 generations from one child. They once were the primary teacher before the school teacher. Now they thirst for man power , which is violent and corrupt..

The man Trump gave a Medal Of Freedom, has been calling Feminists, Femi-NAZIs for decades. No surprise Trump adores him! Unlike Trevor’s guest, another follower of Trump, Ben Carson, is like all conservatives who were helped by the government growing up, they don’t want others to have the same help. Trump and his supporters are enemies of America and common decency!

Favorite quote so far, “boot straps are stupid. No one can pull themselves up by their boot straps.” She’s right you can’t do anything in life on your own, you need help from someone else. In turn you should help others. “Lift as you climb.”

“White women will vote based on race and less on gender. Shout out to Elizabeth Warren who learned that lesson.”
Ain’t this the truth. It’s because white women also benefit from proximity to white male patriarchy.

“Feminism involves so much more than gender equality. And it involves so much more than gender. Feminism must involve a consciousness of capitalism (I mean, the feminism that I relate to. And there are multiple Feminisms, right). It has to involve a consciousness of capitalism and racism and colonialism and post colonialities and ability and more genders than we can even imagine, and more sexualities than we ever thought we could name.”

Looking at it from a Swedish perspective (and yeah, most countries in the world). Well, it’s so stupidly simple. Why do you still argue about it. Just vote Sanders!

Mikki Kendall did an amazing job breaking down why we need to focus on pulling low income women up by understanding their needs. It’s often celebrated when a woman break down barriers but we need to fight for childcare for all and longer paid maternity leave for families. This helps women but also our economy.

Something I never pointed out whenever Trevor does these interviews that I like: he never comes across as super inquisitive or intentionally pointed with his questions nor is he somewhat hostile (like Letterman for example)

Men and women have equal rights.
She wants women to be as rich as men without working as well as men.
