When Mike Schultz lost his leg snowmobiling, he wasn’t satisfied with the prosthetics available, so he built his own to keep taking part in action sports.
More CONAN @ http://teamcoco.com/video
lol conan is funny in this one
This guy reminds me of Natasa Kovacevic, a Serbian basketball player who lost her leg when her whole team had a bus accident. They amputated her leg but she didn’t give up and a few months ago she started playing professional basketball again with her prosthetic leg. Extremely talented girl, but with such a big heart. People like Mike and her need to get more on TV and show their dedication and commitment.
Have you ever noticed that white people are the ONLY type that does any sort of “extreme sports.” It’s because they don’t get an adrenaline rush in their everyday lives or face any adversity. If minorities want a “rush” they just have to have a police encounter or enter an Italian restaurant.
Aaron will read this
it’s sad that people look up to LeBron James and such more then this guy. America…
Conan rides a bike? Wtf
Where’s part 2?
They really let him down by offering the bare minimum. So with today’s technology they offered him the ability to walk but if a pebble, like he said, catches the leg, he falls. I mean I trip 3 times a day on cracks in the pavement, I really need to take walking lessons. Glad he found something that still allows him to do what he loves.
I want one!…wait….

Amazing. Well done young man.
pretty awesome. This guy is smart. I hope he can make a lot of money off his designs.
Wouldn’t it be a better idea to make the prosthetic leg the exact same weight as your real leg in order keep your body weight symmetrical? I think that it would cause uneven growth in your gluteus muscles and abnormal hip movements due to the imbalance. I would like to hear anybody’s thoughts on this.
Thanks for being an innovator and helping yourself and other amputees, Mike! It was incredible getting to meet you!
His smile through out the segment was very motivating despite his handicap. I like his attitude and resilience to continue doing what he loves.
I hope Matt shultz comes to this show
I once had a hangnail that was really irritating for 3 hours before I got home and clipped it off. So… very similar stories.
