ReplyI remember them coming to my former high school , Herbert Hoover Des Moines,Ia in the freezing cold.
ReplyI had the opportunity to talk with Michelle in a private area while Barack was giving his speech.
I thanked her for speaking with me and told her I knew how tired she must be traveling in this cold.
I went back to the bleachers and discussed Barack with a former teachers assistant I had in grade school back in the late 1960s who was a person of color in a predominantly white school and neighborhood.
I told him that Michelle was a really down to earth woman and I felt that she really listened to what I had to say.

ReplyI‘m from Germany and I always loved the Obama’s!!! I own their books (to be honest, I only finished hers… 😉). I always admired their style, their class, their humour – I wish they would come to Germany and become our first family!
