I disagree on Amazing Grace. I love the version by The Blind Boys of Alabama. I could listen to that every day. It hit me when he said he never called 911 because he never felt like it was for him. Looking back, I’ve felt the same way. I’ve called it to try to get help for other people, but never when it was for myself, no matter the circumstance.

they should call it “Black lives matter too”. Then nobody will assume the only want black lives to matter.

Interesting to note that Amazing Graze was written John Newton due in part to the deep regret he felt about being involved in the slave trade.

We, in Australia, as do many countries, stand beside the US in the fight to end global systematic racism. We have planned peaceful protests in our capital cities. We Are All In This Together!

Martin Looter King. Yes we’re seeing their power to destroy, surprising absolutely no one especially cops that deal with them daily.

Can you just say if you just didn’t call 911 because you haven’t had the need to? Also I still didn’t see one news program talking about the autopsy made to Floyd. For anyone interested in that Wikipedia will help -> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Death_of_George_Floyd

Maybe he just needs to talk about himself. At the end of the day michael has the ability to survive this. Other blacks dont

I dialed 911 a few days ago. I saw a fellow passed out on the grass between the highway and Mickey D’S. I attempted to speak to him twice; he was unresponsive. I wasn’t going to touch him. That’s what EMS is for.
Turned out, I was the third one to call in.
I sure hope he got the help he needed.:)

Poetry is subversive because it seems to have no monetary value, but money has no poetry, and there’s no money in poetry, believe me, I know. And so did Charles:

one of the best reasons not to teach American History in School is that we can never break the cycle because we as a people do not know our short American History. What is taught in school is Whitewashed and every February we dissect contributions of Select people of color (jocks and musicians mostly) to put on memes – another term for that might be segregation.

Michael Che believes this generation is seeing something new – sadly he is wrong. He’s not alone though… Millions of Americans can not take the next step because we don’t know what the last step was.

Is this the dawn of the “American Spring’? Will foreign powers begin pouring money into the US to further the size of the protests inorder to cause regime change.
Will international leaders condemn the regime for heavy handily cracking down on protests?

It’s telling when the words “ALL LIVES MATTER” come from the mouth of Democratic party leader Nancy Pelosi, won’t stop them from expecting our vote tho.

Actually, looting, vandalizing and destroying property would rather work to justify racism and against BLM. Who would want to do any good for wild vandals?
