Meanwhile… New York City’s elected leaders decided they no longer wanted to conduct business in the shadow of a man who enslaved people, so a statue of Thomas Jefferson was packed up and moved to a new location this week. #Colbert #Comedy #Meanwhile

    The First Capitol of the USA as in New York City. George Washington, Jefferson, Hamilton, etc. all lived in NYC while forming the new government after the Revolution was won( with the help of French $$$, troops and Navy)
