    The creators of social media apps understood and knew the dangers of the self validating feedback loop and its ultimate destruction of the human connection in how we interact with each other. Can’t wait for the sun to remind us of who we are in relation to all life microscopic to macro cosmic.

    It’s mindboggling that there are still some people who argue that invading your privacy and gathering your data is only horrific when the government does it.  Facebook and Cambridge Analytica are proof-positive that when a private company does it, is enough to INSTALL a government.

    I think it’s sort of funny that people are suddenly angry at Facebook, even though everything they did appears to be perfectly legal – and that’s the _real_ problem. Congress should stop calling tech companies in for a scolding and start writing better privacy protection laws. Facebook did only what the law allowed them to do. The failure here is Congress (big surprise, right?).
