ReplyCapitalism depends on ever growing demand which was fine as the world population grew from 2.5 b in 1950 to over 8 b now.
So a declining berth rate for first time is a threat to republican donors’ ability to generate wealth and they gain political power from the single issue voters who get suckered into supporting interests that aren’t theirs
It’s not because of ethical concerns.
If they cared about a kid’s safety they would change gun laws.
They love their guns a lot more than someone else’s kid.
Abortion bans are like wars in that the motivation to do either is usually greed and NOT for righteous reasons.
