Shane’s presence was missed in the show for the next 5 seasons after he was killed off. It’s a testament to the actor because Shane didn’t last nearly as long in the comic

Jon did a Q&A after a film he starred in a few months ago here in LA and he couldnt have been a nicer guy. He really gave himself to the audience in the conversation he was having with the moderator and even stayed afterwards to meet people (which never happens at these things, especially if youre that big of a star). Solid dude.

On the bright side, Shane getting killed off early was better in the long run because of the impact it made. Shane getting ‘Shaned’ is still one of the top moments people remember from the show. The show has had so many characters come and go over the years that I’ve totally forgotten, but Shane remains one of the most memorable.

To this day I still believe that Shane and Merle were the two best characters that WTD ever had

Shane was the one thing the show did better than comic.

Maybe got killed off too early, but the shows has been so bad for years, it works in his favor.
