So this is only available on iOS devices and one broadband provided? That

Also, only available in the US. Why? I don’t get it… Why? I mean, why?

OMG, a Youtube clip from Last Week Tonight that isn’t region locked. And

How can anybody complain about this? His show is on HBO, so why would it be

I would say it’s about god damn time HBO, but fuck $15 a month? That’s a
bit steep when I’m probably only gonna watch one or two shows. Meanwhile I

    more competitive with your prices.

Why can’t I sing up through an… oh I don’t know… and HBO account? Why

Uhm, so….I know he probably has a contractual obligation to do this

“All you need is the internet” my ass. All you need is the internet,
overpriced Apple devices and/or a *specific* ISP, plus you have to be in
the US. Hint: 80% of your viewers on youtube are probably outside the US,
just don’t put this stuff up on the channel ;)

  • TheBrianJ 5 years ago

Why can’t ALL advertisements just be John Oliver talking about something

  • Chronno S. Trigger 5 years ago

Maybe someone who cares enough, lives in the US, and has an Apple device
(damn, that thinned the market) can answer this question. Is this service
relatively competent, putting up shows when they air and letting you watch
them whenever as long as you have a subscription? Or is it limited,
forcing you to wait an arbitrary amount of time before you can watch and
only holding the new episodes and getting rid of the old? Could I watch
the entirety of Game of Thrones from the beginning to now if I so chose?
How about in, say, 3 years?

  • TheMightyWill 5 years ago

People are upset that John Oliver is promoting his own network? What is
this? And HBO really is worth the money. There’s a reason why Game of
Thrones, The Wire, and The Sopranos are the 2nd, 3rd, and 7th highest rated
shows of all time on IMDB respectively.

  • Tom C 5 years ago

This is the most uncomfortable I have ever seen John Oliver

  • N Copernicus 5 years ago

Sorry John, but you should have specified that having the internet isnt
    enough to watch HBO now:
To be eligible to subscribe to the Service, you must meet the following
criteria (the “Eligibility Criteria”):(a) You must reside within the
fifty states of the United States of America (“U.S.”), the District of
Columbia, and certain US territories (the “Service Area”)

The problem is that only if you live in USA you can apply to HBO NOW (as
each hbo product becomes the copyright of the media outlet that has bought
its rights in the country). The problem about watching paid online
streaming is that it has strict rules for each country, for example, as I
now live in Italy, i cannot log into either netflix nor HBO noow, even if i
have a paid american account. Also, if i want to buy or rent a movie from
iTunes i can only get it from the italian iTunes as my credit card is
italian, and 99 % of them are dubbed and have no option to have the
original language as audio, I would want to be able to pay for what i see,
but if the system makes it an utter pain in the ass to be able and watch a
movie or tv show, then there should be no wonder why someone simply decides
to download a torrent in just a few clicks.
People have the perception that when you talk about internet its something
that has a global entity, when in truth it has strict borders depending on
the country your IP number is showing. For example, take Amazon, if you
compare the variety and amount of products that it has available in and in….

You’re missing the need to live in America. Us Australians are screwed,
and forced to pay hundreds of dollars just to watch shows like Game of
Thrones, despite WANTING to be able to subscribe to HBO GO.

  • Granamire 5 years ago

All you need is the internet, and apple tv, an ipod, an iphone or some

I have the internet, but can’t get this, so stop your lying!

  • whatdoesstthefoxxsaay 5 years ago

All i need is internet and also live in USA to actually be able to use hbo
now. [not supported in your region] 🙁

  • Gumlass1 5 years ago

Australian users are now being blocked from HBO NOW. When the choice for
Game of Thrones is literally Foxtel or pirate, pirating seems the more
    ethical choice of the two.

  • Petr Mazak (Sirien) 5 years ago

I don’t believe I just willingly and voluntarily seen a video which was not
just obvious commercial, but described as a commercial. Just because John
    Oliver is talking in it.

  • Sunny Sawrav 5 years ago

All lies. I’m in India and and content is not available here. And I have
internet. So your statement fails. 🙁 I’m sad.

  • skitzin283 5 years ago

Well done! You almost offered an alternative to piracy… then you
    restricted it to the USA.

The fact that I cannot legally see this video in Germany is super ironic.
Because I can not recieve HBO NOW in Germany either. Allthough I seem to
have this “Internet” you are talking about which would seem to be the
“only” restriction for HBO NOW – not…

In other news – anybody can give me a link to a Game of Thrones Season5
torrent? I would LOVE to throw my money at the beloved people of HBO who
gave the world this blessing, but sadly, my german money isn’t good enough
    for them…

[Spoiler warning: last paragraph might contain traces of sarcasm and
peanuts. Enjoy on your own risk.]

Please do a piece over school budget cuts specifically in Kansas but nation
wide would do just as well. Anyways, it has gotten to the point in which is
feels as if no outside entity care. Those being anyone who do not have a
career, education, and/or child involved. The fact is that kids are now
having to pay for the state government’s stupidity. That is downright
unforgivable and shouldn’t be acceptable. However, for some strange reason
it is. It may be cliche, but for God’s sake, think of the children.
Furthermore, a state’s main priority should be educated because if they are
too dumb to plan a simple budget then they should prepare to be replaced by
a smarter, more driven generation who actually gives two shits about our
future and the future of our state.

    Please and thank you,
    Grant Daily

P.S. if there are any grammar or spelling mistakes blame the Topeka
assholes who feel that it is ok to mess with my future
