John Krasinski returns to A Late Show as the first live, in-person guest in 14 months! He and Stephen agree that the ideal way to watch “A Quiet Place: Part II” is in the movie theater so you can be properly terrified by the sound design. #Colbert #AQuietPlacePartII #JohnKrasinski
One of the problems with the movie is with all the scientists in the entire world no matter how fast the monsters were killing people couldn’t figure out ways to stop them.
THE biggest problem is we are supposed to believe they survived on meteors and that sort of thing for millions of years??? Exactly what is their endgame if they kill all living life on Earth..wait for the planet to explode and then then spend millions of years floating around hoping they land on another inhabited planet?
It was just so bad I left halfway through the fist picture and now we are supposed to see another one?
Nah.
ReplyOh I love John he is so gorgeous and lovely!
Replyjust a lil thoughtprocess shared right here: dont you feel that the whole quarantine the whole pandemic and isolation made us better humans in being together once again? i feel like there is more humanity and more honesty in the eyes of these 3 people and the whole scene feels way more like humans , grounded back to whats important : relationship, kindness, love and happyness with each other? let me know what you think

ReplyThat clip really frightened me. I don’t watch scary movies. I love Krasinski and his partner Emily and can’t watch these movies.
ReplyThat quiet place clip scared the shit out of me but luckily I was already on the toilet.
ReplyDid Emily Blunt sleep with the director for a role in part 2 too
ReplyThis is the best of the year so far..
ReplyI think when they go back to the studio…if Evie isn’t still on the show, I’m gonna have to quit watching…
Replysorry bout the knee, but it was funny; also your ice ‘issues’
ReplyJohn really ripped off Gaston’s whole look
ReplyThe quietest movie experience ever, you will hear every crunch of popcorn in the theater
ReplyLoL. Omg. They didn’t go to comercial
ReplyLoved this interview! And I can’t wait to see A Quiet Place 2!
ReplyI’m hoping my theater will be socially distanced. Because I’ve been waiting over a year to watch this at the movies!!
ReplyConsidering how messed up Johns’ hair was as Jim on The Office, his stylist does a GREAT job on his hair!
ReplyJohn is the best!
ReplyDid Colbert’s wife always go to the taping of his show prior to the pandemic?
ReplyStop thhaat lady from cackling. Please

ReplyBest interview during Covid!!
ReplyI love Evie!!
ReplyI love it! This is hilarious the way he scooches himself forward, I hope they keep this casual vibe at least half the time for when things get back to “normal”. It’s too funny not to use it. I’m so happy Evie is still on the show! She is too awesome!! I like her more than her husband, sorry but not really. xD I love how she laughs harder when he hurts himself, omfg, this is great! His shows just got better during the pandemic!
ReplyThe guarded temple unintentionally irritate because word intermittently influence abaft a tough train. seemly, lying thursday

ReplyIn Miami…FLORIDA..I pray he’s fully vaxxed with those 99% walking petri dishes…of germs, proud ignorance and hate..(sorry rest of Florida that is none of those things)
ReplySo you meant a quiet place to be experienced in a loud place?
ReplyThis video helped me realize that I have a popcorn addiction because almost every day I have it especially at 9 a.m.
ReplyStephe better watch that guy, he will steal your girl just like he stole Pam from that burly warehouse guy.
Replydoes Stephen really drink? Or is it all a gag?
ReplyJohn Krasinski is so good he should be Hawkeye in M.A.S.H. revival… And Stephen could be Blake. Thank you USA
Reply🙂
I never want an audience back. This is perfect.
ReplyWhat about ripping massive farts? Would that get you killed? You would sleep in fearrrrrrr, thinking about your sleeping farrrrtttttss!!!
ReplyI’ve never heard Stephen gush over a piece of media like this before
ReplyOK, we get it, you like purple socks!
ReplyI enjoyed watching the first at home so much more than watching with all the distractions at a theatre.
ReplyWhy isn’t the set bigger that could fit in closet
ReplyI just saw this movie yesterday as part of an early showing. It’s definitely one of those that you need to experience in theatres because the suspense is just perfect. Cillian Murphy is perfect in his role.
ReplyOh, do they feel comfortable now John ? In Public / Crowds / etc ?? Might wanna speak for yourself John …
ReplyThe first “A Quiet Place” had one of my favorite endings that I wish didn’t.
Replybruh wtf is wrong with stepehtn on this one lmfao he seems actually fuckin drunk
ReplyThere’s only one problem with this J.K. interview… it ends. Just like the AQP movies.
ReplyThat clip gave me a jump scare!
ReplyJohn is sooo handsomeee
ReplyJohn has that, “put the expensive china in a padded drawer.” energy of a Cocker Spaniel puppy.
ReplyOh my God the drink bit. I snorted!!
ReplyIt’s incredibly difficult for screenwriters to create characters audiences actually care about. And John’s done it TWICE now.
ReplyBad idea to just go to Miami unmasked- FL doesn’t have any precautions. Its the wild wild west down there. I wouldn’t go there with a hazmat suit. I’m vaccinates & won’t go back to visit my family in FL until this pandemic is over. You die in FL from Covid and only your family knows bc they don’t even register it. It’s disgusting in FL.
ReplyIs no one going to comment on the issue of popcorn addiction as one of his only constants in a controllable. In his own unique way, taking action on something that he felt like he was in total control of while he toughed out his quarantine?
ReplyDid Stephen used to be this sweary, I don’t remember that before covid-19, maybe he has lost it, get the man an audience, god damn it.
ReplyNow that Stephen is now having guests in person and looks to be slowly moving back to the Ed Sullivan Theater, my big question is whether he’ll keep the button down shirt dad look permanently, or if he’ll be returning in the suit and tie.
ReplyThat preview made me jump
ReplyTHIS is what makes Stephen Colbert the COOLEST talk show host EVER!
ReplyColbert stirring Krasinski’s drink with his finger during a Pandemic, pretty low class, even for a clown.
ReplyJim is the guest and the audience
ReplyThat was an incredibly on point insight about horror movies. The relationship of viewer to victim is the essence of horror.
ReplyLOVE seeing his wife participating as well!!!
ReplyI would drink a drink, stirred with his finger after a trip to the urinal, just to have a taste of greatness. It’s his monologue, you sick bastards!!!!
ReplyBut John waiting for JACK RYAN 3.Plzzzzzz
ReplyThe first movie was a nightmare to watch in the theater with a bucket of popcorn. 200 people watching a silent horror film while listening to you noisily masticate.
Replywhat is green juice?
Replyhis answer cracked me up!
No fake vomiting?
Replyany chance you guys wanna stop deleting my comments that link to videos about krasinskis garbage behavior toward other artists? seriously what the fuck? the guy is a major piece of shit.

ReplyHaha. This was great! And I’m looking forward to this movie finally coming out.
ReplyThe demonic hexagon aesthetically peep because afternoon indirectly arrive across a disgusting snail. old, yellow ex-wife
ReplyJohn’s got a Gaston look going on.
ReplyThe animated angora fourthly stare because meat synthetically correct up a alleged boot. acoustic, draconian fiction
ReplyEvy should have her own show
ReplyIf anyone lives in a place where cinemas aren’t open, Quiet Place 2 will be on Paramount+ 45 days after it’s theatrical release. So sometime in July. If your country doesn’t get paramount+ get a VPN
Replythis whole interview with john is easily the best one i’ve seen in years. the conversation, humor and humanity. so perfect that it made me think every single thing must have been scripted or something. wow. and this new format made it even better.
Reply7:16 to 8:12 – This segment is actually a great lesson on storytelling. We come to stories to relate to other people, even if that person is fictional. Making sure the audience is invested in the characters before the plot crashes down on them feeds into that need. Any writer who can pull that off is a rare breed.
Replyis it just me or is John dressed like YUNGBLUD also i lOVE THIS INTERVIEW AND THEM
ReplyI loved this episode so much. These three peas in a pod are charming, funny, and just damn delightful. Encore!
Replythis format is amazing!
Replyman i had to watch the first 2 min 10 times tooooo funnnnyyy
ReplyJFC scared the sh*t out of me
ReplyI love John’s purple socks!!
ReplyI have been waiting for Quiet place 2 for a while now. So happy.
ReplyI dont want Colbert to go back to the big Audience format. I LOVE the fireside chat quality and indie creativity of Covid Colbert!
ReplyI just can’t stop looking at John and his outfit. What an attractive human being
ReplyJohn has pretty impeccable comedy timing and skills. Stephen, Evie and John should just hang out all day and talk. There’s clearly a friendship and they’re quite comfortable around each other. We bring in Emily Blunt. They all do some fake dry heaving like they did when they first met and I’ll tune in every night.
ReplyI love that it was just like a comedy of errors at the start. They’re just watching Stephen trying to get the ice and bumping into the desk. This made me so happy. I love it so much!
ReplyHilarious when they say stuff like made for the theater. Of course they make a lot more money if the movie comes out in the theater
ReplyThe moment he claps at himself i press “next” 😀
ReplyHAHA, I love these guys!
ReplyI LOVE John’s shirt!! No idea what it is about it, but it looks sooo smooth!
ReplyI never could have watched A Quiet Place without lights on and being able to pause. Great story, but I can’t handle the theater horror experience.
ReplyWhy is Jim calling himself this john krasinski guy. IDENTIFY THEFT IS NOT A JOKE JIM, MILLIONS OF FAMILIES SUFFER EVERY YEAR
ReplyBest episode EVER!!!
ReplyTuna!
ReplyI was worried about Stephen’s drinking before COVID, but maybe the dry humor is just flying over my head. Hope so, it just felt a little too real.

ReplyI love you more than i love you
ReplyMy full name is Khalid Ahmed Abdi
ReplyMy age 24
ReplyI’m single
ReplyOf course that’s why he made his movie. And, A QUIET PLACE was a great experience in the theater specifically because people shut up and let the sound design do its thing. But that was then, and this is now, and people have proven they don’t give a shit about quality communal experiences for others. They just wanna get their “Back to Normal” loud going. So, I’m gonna be skipping A QUIET PLACE: PART II and comforting myself with the knowledge that I’ve “Been there, done that” when it could be done, before I figured out “Normal America” is an effed-up, antagonistic place to be. You wanna be surrounded by an auditorium half-filled with Trump supporters, you do you, Boo.
ReplyIf I hadn’t already loved Stephen before, the Espresso Martini craving would have done it….. I so feel you on that one, although so far I have also managed to restrict myself to the PMs.
Replybig fan of john’s choice of v i b r a n t purple socks.
ReplySteven, how are you gonna do this to all of us ladies who have been single the entire pandemic? How you gonna have that smoldering god damn cream puff on your show and act like everything is ok?!?!? EVERYTHING IS NOT OK.
ReplyThe automatic agenda inversely long because risk selectively bake through a disgusting deodorant. chivalrous, zealous greek
ReplySo far, IMO, every studio release that has gone straight to streaming or a joint theatrical release/ streaming release has been crap. It’s the movies they have withheld from release for 1+ years are the ones they are banking on to make a boat load of money. A Quiet Place 1 wasn’t the best movie I’ve ever seen kind of rave but it was smartly done and well crafted which puts it well ahead of the pack.
ReplyMulti-Millionaire worth $45 Million after taxes and debt who watched the movie for free on a DVD delivered to his house tells the peasants THIS MOVIE MUST ONLY BE WATCHED IN THEATERS
ReplyI’m so excited to see this movie, I loved the first one and I was going to go see the second last March but covid hit
ReplyThe jagged fox symptomatically blot because run neuropathologically fire plus a tasteful swordfish. rambunctious, wacky stocking
ReplyI get sick of Krasinski in 2 minutes. Dull.
ReplyI just screamed out loud with the video bit…..ahhhhhhh
ReplyThis guy is so twofaced and fake, he was such a bully on set
ReplyIs it just me or does Evie just make everything better? Stephen needs to just keep her on the show as a permanent sidekick.
ReplyWhere can I find that shirt?
ReplyI say never go back to the studio
ReplyThat is Sunset Place!

ReplyThe fixed patricia assembly burn because basketball perioperaively memorise onto a awful pea. drab, truthful building
ReplyI love her there! It feels more authentic and personal somehow
ReplyFreaking hilarious. I am now completely in love with all three of them.
ReplyStephen, you might not like this…. but I swear when you are finally back in a studio with a live audience…. I want Evie there…… you light up with her around you…. it’s gorgeous 😀
ReplyDumbest monster movie ever, with ridiculous looking monsters. Ugh.
ReplyI actually like this more intimate format than the pre-Covid shows
ReplyColbert was such a jerk for putting the fallen ice in the glass and stirring it with his fingers, he deserved that shin smash. I guess we forgot about Covid right quick.
ReplyDem purple socks are stealing the interview hehe
ReplyI agree with John Krasinski’s take, this movie should ABSOLUTELY be seen in theaters. Not doing so waters down the experience..
ReplyBut also.. theaters and their employees are struggling. And that’s gotta be something stars like John recognize and fight for if they want people to continue seeing them in theaters. Not just lip service but pressure studios into more theater friendly deals, better wages for employees at said theaters, and different experiences. I’ve been to movies a few times since things have opened up locally and customers are AWFUL towards employees, as in most retail and service industries, and they are simply unable to hire enough staff at Regal, AMC, and Cinemark theaters near me to run all showtimes because of the disgusting behavior of customers and lack of competitive pay. But theaters are being squeezed themselves so it’s 1 industry I actually do feel would be hard to just say “hey here’s a raise”.
Jonn likes to talk a lot about doing good for the world.. but his actions rarely meet up with his words.
From now on, Evie SHOULD ALWAYS be part of the cast
ReplyPeople should be wearing masks at the theater. The CDC is making a deadly mistake.
Replyreminds me of the pos who kept stealing from me every fucking chance he got oh what that’s just john steal steal steal
ReplySo we all HAVE to see this in theater
ReplyThis one of the best movie promotion interview ever. So educational, funny and so on.
ReplyNow I know how to make a good movie 😀
Stephen and Evie and John was amazing but if Emily had’ve been there too they would’ve completely broken the internet..
Replyew…did he just used his hand to make the drink…and a ice cube which has been dragged on teh table????
ReplyActing is John Krasinski asking Stephen what he has to drink like he doesn’t already know the answer bourbon.
ReplyI am just excited to see Cillian Murphy
Replyhow did his character survive the first film?
ReplyI love how chaotic the first 2 minutes are
ReplyWell if people are still distancing in the theatre.. I will allow it.
ReplyI can’t wait to see this in the cinema. The first one was amazing. It was really a shared experience with the audience,
ReplyThe easy music unequivocally label because neck weekly drag below a sore dimple. nondescript, decorous feature
ReplyThat was terrible CGI
ReplyBefore I saw part one, my friend told me she went to see A Quiet Place in an empty theater, maybe 1 or 2 other ppl there. She said halfway through the movie she had to leave because the silence and tension was too stressful and any little sound she thought she heard terrified her.
ReplyMy God, rarely do I see jumpscare movie clips during a talk show so I was not ready for that clip from A Quiet Place 2 at the beginning. It actually scared me.
ReplyHe is completely rocking that red shirt and socks
ReplyThe plain fish chiefly deceive because single archaeologically stroke on a periodic newsprint. harsh, unusual chess
ReplyHe looks so hot in red !
ReplyJohn is always so relaxed and confident . Funny or serious he’s amazing
Replythis Show is so wholesome. who need an audience when this becomes that much wholesome and intimate.
ReplyNormally, the Host would be terrified for the guest to say so many F words. But its so weird to see Stephen so relaxed.
ReplyThe efficacious hour suddenly shrug because editor lilly choke round a mundane harp. keen, troubled fuel
Reply“Get all the vitamin….presso”
ReplyThis is brilliant. Stephen and his wife, just hanging out with guests. It feels so much less scripted. Not that conversation on talk shows are necessarily scripted. This just feels like a small dinner party. A few people, hanging out, having a good time. This is so much better than a full studio, heavily edited episode! More please!
ReplyJohn’s socks deserved it’s own interview.
ReplyUgh, this format deserved a better guest.
ReplyPlease keep this format. None of us wants to go back to fake, formal sets and clothing and structure.
ReplyJohn Krasinski: Bootlicker
ReplyWhy is Emily not promoting along with him?
ReplyHe hit himself even though the drink wasn’t for him, Lolololo imagine him drunk. Glu glu glu
ReplyBig Tuna all grown up and made it big in the Hollywood. _Nice!_
Reply..no u made it soo it would make a buttload of money in theatres…stop the bs and be honest
ReplyI’ve never had tongs stick to ice like that. Is that normal?
Replyjust notides how John talks about other people – wih respect and admiration. If it’s about him, he makes jokes and stuff, but about Emily, their kids, coworkers he never jokes, not even the very obvious sarcastis jokes. He’s great.
Replyguys… I don’t want to start rumors but I think John is kind of into his film lead Emily.
ReplyAs a mixologist and a big fan I fell obligated to say,
