John Cleese explains why filming Monty Python and the Holy Grail was so horrible, reveals who saved Monty Python’s Life of Brian and reviews his favorite questions audiences have asked him.
I could listen to Mr. Cleese talk for hours and hours. Such a fantastic and funny man.
This man right here is a legend.
Life of Brian changed my life.. I was lucky enough to see it when I was young enough that it just slapped me in the face, even if I didn’t understand the subtleties. I did, however, realize then and there, that comedy was the only God for me.
Is he pregnant?
What a pleasant man!
Funniest man alive. No contest.
He’s a national treasure – for every nation.
Wow, I never knew George Harrison was responsible for Life of Brian.
My mom thought Monty Python was appropriate viewing for youngsters. Explains a lot about my sense of humor, which can be very dark.
Still remember that stoning scene from Life of Brian….LOOOL! “Who threw that stone?”…ROFL!
the irony….”good bless” to the man who made Life of Brian possible 🙂
It’s good to know that there are still people out there to spread dignity and decency while being comically rude. John Cleese is just a gem. I actually am reading his autobiography “So, anyway…” at the moment. Worth a read. 🙂
One of humanity’s treasures.
We are totally not worthy.
I still prefer the Holy Grail myself, largely for the way they incorporated the absolute shoestring of a budget into the humour. [Coconut clappers make neighing noises] “They’re nervous, Sire!” “Then we’d best leave them here and carry on on foot. DISMOUNT!”
He’s wearing a children’s watch.
“I want to see the movie.” 🙂
“…and if it’s a slow audience, like El Paso… Hint! Hint!”
Kudos to George!
