I will always be grateful for Jerry Seinfeld’s contributions to the
greatest sitcom of all-time (and quite frankly one of the few traditional
laugh track/live studio audience sitcoms that I can actually stomach), but
HOLY HELL IS THIS MOTHERFUCKER’S STAND-UP AS STALE AS EVER.

    Good gawd, y’all.

I see from the comments that others think this guy is unfunny, too.
Whew! From the hype he’s always got you would have thought he was the
messiah. His routine seems like a parody of what a comedian who had no
balls would say in his act. TV dinners? Fat people in America? Whoa,
daddy! Louis CK and Doug Stanhope, step aside!! Here’s the real
    heavyweight of comedy!

*lugubrious* *(adjective)* overly sad, mournful. *Watching Jerry Seinfeld
do a set on how pathetic it is to eat Swanson Hungry Man Dinners made
Fidorover lugubrious, as he just happened to be finishing his Swanson
Hungry Man Salisbury Steak Dinner at **3:30** a.m. while watching Jerry’s
    aforementioned set on YouTube.*

I want to laugh because the way he delivers the jokes is great but the
jokes themselves are…lacking. He’s one step away from being a parody of
himself that everybody is always doing impressions of. You know the ones,
the airplane food jokes and all that stuff

I get that he revolutionized comedy with the show, but comedy has gone a
long way since then and has changed exponentially. This set does not feel
like it belongs in the world of comedy in today’s standards. But idk

I watch the set I thought it was rather funny I’ve been watching comics and
comedy skits for about 60 years now I think have a pretty good handle on
what is a good or bad Comedy would you believe cut it is in the covers end
of entertainment that the toughest end of its tempt me I mean other than
below is the dance the opera in all other rigours is a general toughness is
show business I believe there is nothing more difficult to stand up to see
more on it rather than the comment is it good or bad it’s whether he or she
has a crack you defect fact that he appeared appeared to have a cold but
perhaps losing his voice as many entertainers singers, the people and voice
impersonators do the only possible Chris is that this as many entertainers
singers comedy people and voice impersonators do the only possible
criticism that could be launched successfully I believe is that he may
possibly waited three throat throat or cold to subside but if you’re lucky
enough to be fully booked you can’t always do that for you David Horin many
thanks speaking into a microphone press on to you I hope the above is made
relative sense again David Horin many thanks

The comments are always so all over the place (“this is great”, “this

It’s the delivery folks.. Imagine Louis C.K doing this bit, he will be
saying how he blunders into a buffet, just mix matching, the most random
shit, while he would never do that at home. who the fuck makes waffle’s
with sushi, and caramelized chicken legs for dinner at night, but in a
buffet.. and we’d all die of laughing cause he is talking about himself but
we can relate going..oh yeah.. i do that too.

In Jerry’s delivery however, he just observes, and basically asks” why do
you guys do this?” which makes us uncomfortable I think, and fewer people
today can laugh by going “yeah.. why do we do this?”

    Just my two cents..

I didn’t know everyone on YouTube was some exceptional comedic genius! I’m
sure Seinfeld would enjoy all your notes on how unfunny his actual comedy
is. It’s so sad to see an entire pool of sour grapes on here. But amusing
    at the same time.

I didn’t have a problem with the performance it self, but rather the
audience that killed it. Jerry’s stuff has always been the type of thing to
chuckle about in a light conversation, it’s the forced laughter from the
audience for the sake of acknowledging a legendary guy that really ruined
    this.

Seinfeld is a good example of a comedian who gets laughs because of his
stature. His brand of comedy isn’t cutting edge anymore, he isn’t fresh and
exciting anymore. All of this wouldn’t matter if his jokes were funny, but
they really aren’t. I see him getting some chuckles from 50/60 year olds
but that’s about it. I’m sorry Jerry, but in the age of Louis CK and Bill
Burr you’re just not relevant anymore.
