The host of CNN’s ‘The Lead with Jake Tapper’ believes that, whether or not you agree with him, Senator Jeff Flake made a ‘gutsy’ decision to delay a final vote on Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court.

And every decision he tiebreaks is gonna come with a cloud of his high school shenanigans.

I used to have no problem with Jake Tapper, but now I really start loathing him because of his relentless attack on universal healthcare. 45,000 Americans die annually due to lack of health coverage, another at least 15 times more Americans go bankrupt due to medical costs, but since big pharma and insurance companies are the biggest advertisers for almost all cable news channels, corporate shills like Tapper are doing everything they can to stop any meaningful change, these guys are profiting from people’s misery and death.

It’s sad day in America when it takes guts to say, “maybe we shouldn’t have a lying political pawn who doesn’t respect the value of objective evidence on the Supreme Court.”

Hmmm, I still think Flake will tow the party line in the end and confirm the conspiratorial, entitled, and utterly bad-faith Kavanaugh, likely justifying it by saying “well, we don’t know the truth about what happened in the past, and I don’t think he lied in any serious way during his testimony,” etc. Put simply, Republicans like Flake and Corker (and formerly Graham, as ridiculous as that sounds now) occasionally say things critical of Trump and his authoritarian, bigoted, and unprofessional approach to policy-making and diplomacy, but that’s about it—they never actually upend the administration’s agenda on grounds of principle (such as McCain did with the GOP’s attempts to dismantle health-care). So “gutsy” might be giving Flake too much credit.

‘Gutsy’.. if your standard for integrity in the Senate is ‘spineless’ I suppose that’s better.

Sadly, Flake admitted on 60 Minutes that he probably wouldn’t have called for the investigation if he wasn’t about to retire. It’s crazy that he only did it because he had nothing to lose politically, but at least he did it.

I’m getting tired of Jake’s on the fence, wishy wash, maybe style of journalism. He is sounding more like a politician every day.

    Jake Tapper is a hack.

His “fact check” of Medicare for all was the worst attempt at journalism that I’ve ever seen.

Medicare for all will save us money and lives despite the propaganda Tapper parroted from the Koch brothers.
