“Don’t come in! We’re drying the wet spot with your All Lives Matter shirt” is one of the funniest things I’ve ever heard. You rock, Sarah.
ReplyThe problem though is that a significant amount of the dishonesty falls on one side. Trump lost the majority vote in 2016 but won the electoral college system to become President. And he did that with a strong push online from outside the US sources spreading lies and innuendo. That happened. Yet there was no storming of the Capitol Building on January 6th. Hillary Clinton conceded the election. She didn’t try to get fake electors. She didn’t say the election was fraudulent or that the votes cast for Trump were fraudulent. She accepted her defeat with a significant amount of grace and dignity. Trump knew he lost in 2020 but refused to say that in public instead stating lies repeatedly. He even lied about the election before it took place. And then he tried to strong arm the SOS of Georgia into finding him more votes. So it is impossible to say that all the profit is equal or all the dishonest outrage is equal. There is no Biden merchandise being sold en masse in the US. In fact the only merchandise related to him being sold is the garbage about Brandon sold by the far right all across this country. The primary target audience for this big company profit is republicans and their supporters. Because that group has slipped way over to the right. They are the rubes believing in furries. The ones who voted in George Santos, Marjorie Taylor Greene and all the rest of the Freedom Caucus members. My state voted on SOS for 2020 and the republican candidate was a person with no experience, supporter of the big lie about the 2020 election and who believed that yoga was a demonic form of exercise. She had no business being in that race but the republicans put her up for it and paid large sums of money to advertise for her.
ReplySarah, Sarah!
ReplyEnraging is engaging.
ReplySo? Is you talking about The Protesters also (?)
ReplyNicely, asked
49/51 splits, all the time. Sane vs. the insane.
ReplyIt stopped being a “difference of opinion” when the Republican party embraced white supremacism, religious bigotry, and fascism. The fact is, the world _would_ be a better place if there were suddenly no more conservatives.
Also, claiming that we’ve been “united” for 244 years kinda misses out on a little thing called the American Civil War. You know, the result of the _last_ time that conservatives decided to embrace bigotry to this level.
Replyreverse mortgage joke was excellent.
ReplyFascism is a “difference of opinion.” That’s her lesson from 20th Century history? Oy vey.
ReplyI love Sarah and Chelsea both.
ReplySarah has been great. I almost stopped watching because the rest of the substitutes have not been funny. Too much outrage and not enough comedy. Jon and Noah were masters of making a point through a comedic process. Hope to see more of Sarah because she seems to get it
ReplyYou are the best guest host so far.
