Flight attendants function as first responders in the sky and have to deal with unruly passengers, staff shortages, and flight cancellations. Season 2 of Beyond the Scenes takes flight with host Roy Wood Jr., who chats with Daily Show writer and frequent flier, Kat Radley, and the International President of the Association of Flight Attendants, Sara Nelson. They discuss the drive to unionize Delta flight attendants, how the #MeToo movement impacted the airline industry, and their worst flying experiences.

Just saying…not paying employees until the cabin door closes is the same way Uber and Lyft pay any drivers… And a lot of those drivers provide water and snacks out of their own pockets!!! No wonder the airlines want to do that too, or did Uber and Lyft get that idea from the airlines??

Amazing how customers don’t realize that they are potentially rowdy cargo – endangering everyone on that plane.

What a delightful conversation to watch, really informative and funny. Great for the AFA to have Sara as their president, a very smart and communicative person.
