I felt that outrage in 2016 and realized it’s FB. So I left. Deleted my profile. And never looked back. To hell with FB!
ReplySomething big that didn’t get said:
ReplyNot only are the algorithms calling more attention to divisiveness, but that extra attention reinforces divisive behavior.
In other words, facebook doesn’t just promote divisiveness, it actively rewards people for trolling
I deleted farce book.. people need to get back to reality..
ReplyI logged off Facebook September 2020…haven’t looked back. Found my life had less stress and anguish since then.
ReplyCaptain corn dog
ReplyI keep saying it, the world was a better place before social media
ReplyThe nightly news feeds everyone’s outrage.
Reply“More Doctors Smoke Camels Than Any Other Cigarette”
ReplyOnce upon a time people didnt knew about the health effect of cigarettes
Physical health and physical addiction are not the only reality influencing us
Our psycho-emotional health and addictive behavior is a very real thing
How long before we end up with “Warning Sign” on facebook and social media in general…..
Studies have being made already and no regulation are being propose, its very reminiscent of what happened with the tobacco industry.
Algorithm interested in profit only at the cost of the well being of a whole species of primate……
So, you’re looking at manipulated information on Facebook. Artificial information.
ReplyBill doesn’t want anyone talking about politics. That’s his gig. #$$$$$$$$
Replythey censor you
ReplyGet the alien who made that facebook in front of the Senate again.
ReplyTalking face to face still available.
ReplyNothing about social media’s effect on drug addicted youthful homicidal maniac “hip hop artists” who rely on social media for an excuse to kill other drug addicted youthful homicidal maniac “hip hop artists” ?
ReplyThis rage has trickled into every aspect of society. Conservatives have a small list of things they can enjoy. Everything else makes them angry.
ReplyThere are rules for publishers and Facebook is exactly that. But it has convinced the regulators somehow that it is not to avoid any responsibility for their actions.
ReplySomething else that isn’t talked about, even if you aren’t on facebook, facebook can still influence you, its gotten that bad. Even news articles and journalist and any media that wants attention, will write in a way that they want to go viral on facebook, without actually posting it on facebook because they know people on facebook will share it.
I know people who say “i don’t read stuff on facebook bc i don’t have a facebook” but they don’t realize that those stories are still hoping to go viral on facebook so they are written in a way to take advantage of facebook programing.
