ReplyKerry Washington is remarkable in so many more ways than show biz. Some years ago she delivered the Graduation Address at my NYC alma mater Nightingale-Bamford. Believe me when I tell you that I’ve heard Cronkite and Kissinger do these gigs, and Kerry Washington left them in the dust for imagination and engagement and literacy. I’d never even heard of her back then, and now she’s one of my heroes.
