ReplyWe recently purchased an electric stove. I can confirm that it goes from room temperature to the surface of the sun with nothing in between on the largest burner. Still getting used to it but I’m getting my cooking done faster.

ReplySince the largest energy source for electricity is natural gas (about 40% of USA use) switching to an electric stove is just changing where the gas is burned.
