A few months ago Karly Sindy from Asheville, North Carolina ordered a vanity license plate with “FART” on it and much to her surprise the DMV approved this plate. Then last week, the DMV contacted her saying they had received a complaint about the license plate and told her they might have to revoke it. Which would be tragic. So we tracked her down and invited her on the show to explain the situation and her plan of action to keep it.

NC is something else for vanity plates. 10 years ago I got MS&MRS for my motorcycle and they got it wrong twice. First they sent me MR&MRS and the included registration card didn’t match. Next it all matched but the plate was automobile size and the registration card reflected that it was for a motorcycle.

She did a great job. Was way less shy and awkward than most of these people are on the interviews. You should pause to let them speak though. There’s a delay and kinda kept cutting her off.

He didn’t ask the obvious question: why she wanted that plate.
