Have Hard Seltzers Gone Too Far?

James kicks off the show wishing everyone a happy Rosh Hashanah and hopes we can have anything but a miserable year ahead. And news about fall-inspired flavors of hard seltzers leads to CBS Senior Vice President of Late Night Programming (West Coast) Nick Bernstein sharing why he’s not much of a drinker. And a headline about a swallowed cell phone leaves the room with some tough questions about how that phone got in there.

I have pancreatic disease, so no alcohol for me. ~ that was awkward! It’s OK not to drink.

Is it just me or is there much less banter in the last few shows?

The joke about putting the cell phone in rice did not get the recognition it deserves. That was yet another joke that took me a few seconds to appreciate.

So last show, there was zero gang interaction. I quickly came down here to argue for it. This show? James talks to evrrrrrybody and the graphics guy (new character!) gets on screen.

I’m clearly running things around here, and as such would like, nay demand a producer credit.

It seems to me that the Sales department is far more in charge of the show than Nick, senior vice president of late night programming.
