Kyle was defending his life against a lethal imminent threat.
Kyle is an IDIOT. Who as a 2A advocate and enthusiast.. should no longer be allowed to legally own a firearm.
He demonstrated a lack of sound judgement by putting himself there. He demonstrated a willingness to confront a threat that was at the time, not a threat to him. So he engaged first. And he showed a disregard for public safety with his overall actions.
That being said. He didnt commit a crime. He protected himself against violent aggressors intent on doing grave bodily harm or lethal injury to him. So yay.. self defense, open and shut case.
But hes still a dumbass who should be barred from having guns from this point on. We have laws for a reason. You dont get to bend them just because.
Simple fact, had he stayed home that night where he should have been.. then he wouldn’t be on trial right now… would he?
These people didnt come onto his home, his family business, his family’s property.. he had no justification to be there in a damgerous setting on his own, even as part of a group.
He made all the wrong choices until he was forced to make a lethal one. And because of that..
