ReplyIt’s our fault. It’s now the fault of the customer/consumer for having high expectations of quality. I wish I could blame it on the scamdemic lockdowns. And while yes it has definitely gotten worse since then, it has been occurring well before then. I bought a $65,000 truck in 2014 and everytime I had to take it in for warranty work the dealership was incredulous that I had the audacity to claim that my new truck needed to be fixed. I’m talking just weeks after the purchase. It got so bad I had to get corporate involved on one issue. After months of stonewalling you know what they told me? It’s the new normal, deal with it.
ReplyAnymore it’s the attitude of companies and services that we should just be happy we are getting anything at all so shut up and be satisfied.
I agree, even when you buy a multi pack of paper towel or tp the rolls are often different. You have to check for expired food on major grocery store shelves etc.

ReplyAmericans are takers by MODERN culture. No one is trained to give customer service anymore. Empathy is something taught because it is such a foreign concept.
Replybut ok, the complaints are getting stranger too. i work in customer service, what i cant help but notice is …. the customer is not always right, or have a grasp in reality. plus there is this sense of entitlement that becomes funny. what i mean is that the customer acts like they are owed something they clearly are not and many take advantage of the appeasement process in place
