As far as I can tell, this pandemic wreaked havoc on addicts of every kind and its absolutely no surprise to hear that food addicts got it the worst. As a recovered opiate addict I’ve been baffled for most of my life at this point by how America treats food addiction. It’s more harmful than any drug addiction imo and it is without a doubt the most widely spread. However, not only is overeating accepted, it’s often encouraged! It’s one of the strangest and scariest things you become aware of after going through the ordeal of beating a drug addiction.

ReplyGreg, I’ve been saying precisely what your monologue was about since obesity was noted as a major risk factor. Can you imagine how many lives could’ve been saved if we had PSAs urging people to exercise and to make sure they had enough vitamin D in their diets? SMH
ReplyHave told friends, my soldiers in the 90s, that the only thing you can control in your life is your FOOD. The government cannot make you eat pastries for breakfast and call it healthy. There is no money in a population of healthy folks- s help our entire society, get some healthy backbone adn loose the weight- you won’t have to look in the mirror if you do and lie to yourself about how you love your 3 aprons. And yes, next week I am starting up with another friend that wants to do just that- lost count of how many folks I have helped take back their health the past 40 years just by staying in shape myself.
