What happens after a shooting in America:
Democrats: We need to do something about this!
Republicans: Let’s give thoughts and prayers.
Democrats: Let’s do something actually useful like background checks and gun purchasing reforms.
Republicans: We can’t do that. We’re bribed by the NRA. I mean, we’re pro 2nd Amendment.
Democrats: We support the 2nd Amendment also, but we want to keep people alive by ensuring this doesn’t happen again.
Republicans: It’s too soon to talk about change. Let’s give it time.
Democrats: That’s what you said about the shooting that happened yesterday!
Republicans: We know, and we will say it again tomorrow since we are only pro life for unborn babies and not our actual constituents.
And repeat for literally every other shooting.

The problem I have with gun control is that most of the proposals are either unconstitutional and/or have no impact on reducing the gun homicide rate. I support some limited measures such as the Violence Against Women Act and strengthening the background check system. However, other proposals such as gun licensing, banning 3D printed guns, and gun confiscation(Beto’s plan) are blatantly unconstitutional. The assault weapons ban has no impact on reducing the gun homicide rate as we saw in the 1990s.

Look, deaths to gun is just a reality that you should accept and be glad for because otherwise, gun enthusiasts won’t be able to own guns! Now, all we need is a law stating that it’s legal to shoot anyone with a gun in any circumstance and you’ll finally have the dystopian future of a gun control(led nation)!

America has such a gun violence problem that Sam’s joke about “shootable arrangements” actually echoes a real gun crime that happened where I live not too long ago. A man shot his wife at her work, an Edible Arrangements shop, and I believe ended up shooting himself before SWAT could get to him.

So the argument went “I need a gun to protect my home frome bd guys with guns.
“How is it bad guys can get guns?”
    “They steal them”
“So people need to protect their guns? should we hold them responsible if they don’t?”
“If someone stole yer car would you be responsible if he hit someone?”
“GOOD ANSWER. Guns need two keys to operate an imobilzer an alarm AND A LOWJACK!”

First and foremost: CRIMINALS DO NOT OBEY THE LAW. Second. Your car/guns analogy is deeply flawed, and heavily partial. Everything you said should be fact checked because you are attempting to deceive vast amounts of people. How about taking about restoring normal people’s rights, including minorities and those in poverty, whom have been betrayed by the justice system. Talking about how the justice system strips away people’s ability to properly defend themselves, through arbitrary laws. remember criminals don’t obey the law.

Stating that guns are not regulated enough is asinine on its face and a bold face lie through and through. Guns are HEAVILY REGULATED, and you don’t need to lie and be deceptive in order to promote new policy, it’s just insulting to people who know better. It just casts shade on everything else that you say, and diminishes your credibility and reputation.

One of the best laws would be to require gun owners to report any lost of stolen guns. Legally require them to report make and model and serial number. Stolen guns are one of the primary ways the criminals get a hold of a gun.

If you really want to have some gun laws, theres a simple solution everyone tend to forget. Black people and other people of color should be armed. Cuz all these gun debates are only based on what white people think what’s safe.
Best example, the Black Panther movement in the 70s-80s; they formed a militia to protect their communities from the government-runned police force. Literally what the 2nd amendment was for, but some state legislators passed laws such anti-open carry for everyone. But we all know its cuz white legislators were shitting themself cuz black people were exercising the same rights as whites.

The USA is gun crazy! We don’t even see guns on police where I live, the only time I saw a gun locally was once when a swat team was called out for a guy who had take a hostage. Even then, no shots fired, situation deescalated through talks (advantage of no gun laws is that suspect had no gun so cops felt safe enough to just talk him out of the situation). Hope I never live somewhere with guns, they make me nervous in real life

yeah Fauci calling the gun violence epidemic a public health crisis is only going to get republicans to hold on to their guns tighter, trust him and the government less, and not get a vaccine or listen to public health safety measures… nearly 40% of Republicans didn’t trust Fauci before this that number is going to very quickly spike to 100% if Fauci’s statement about gun violence gets picked up by far right media, If Fox news, Newsmax and Ben Shapiro all picked it up practically every Republican would know about it in a week…
