Quote from WHO chief: no nation can vaccinate out of this pandemic. Sounds reasonable to me: mask, distance, washing hand and well ventilated rooms is the only way out of it.

So impressed with this interview – both Trevor’s approach and the intelligence of Gavin’s responses. It would be amazing to have politicians with Gavin’s “learning differences” across the country – and I don’t mean with his perspectives. Diversity of perspective is the source of useful debate. And politicians who can debate policy rather than attacking people with different perspectives would move us forward. Almost every issue we face is complex, and “perfect solutions” usually come from a failure to understand that complexity. I appreciate that Gavin seems to accept that he may not be right on everything but that he’s open to trying things that evidence suggests should work and then reevaluate, iterate. Refreshing.

As a Californian, I don’t like Gavin Newsom. We need to cut the massive red tape here as well as rethink our taxes.

As someone with a learning exceptionality, I had a lot of time to pay attention to other students in class. Until the education system becomes inclusive to everyone, including me, I will not accept the excuse of learning disability. It’s strange to me how people are so eager to be handicapped.

This interview reminds me of a favorite Indian movie on dyslexia ”Taare zameen par”, I did not know anything about dyslexia till I watched that movie…

I have dyslexia and in the 90s one of my teachers told me it won’t be a problem for me because computers in the future will have spelling checking, she was right!

Gavin pretends to care about trees and the environment, and at the same he hands out fracking concessions by the dozen. Can firefighter prisoners now get hired as forest fires when they get out? The Dems control everything in California, but there is no Calmed for All, and the State University System used to get money from the state. In the 1960’s, UC got 38% of its budget and now it gets 5%. Is he accountable for not getting reform done? What he does mention is property crime like shoplifting.
