Wasn’t young little girl doing this speech in the early 90s
    ?
    I wonder where she now???
Many are still following the yellow brick road .
End game let’s tax every human being for releasing carbon.

The need for energy transition has zero to do with the environment or the weather. It’s about the future of how we power our world. Carbon based fuel is gonna run out. We gotta have a plan to deal with that looming reality. Liberals don’t understand what energy transition entails or what the goal even is.

If you find yourself yearning for a bureaucratic government to mandate changes to help the environment you are just a sadist. Why do you need someone else forcing you to do something? If you care about climate change, act on it. There is plenty of things you can do to affect your own CO2 emissions, but its going to take a sacrifice on YOUR part. Stop blaming “cheeseburgers” and the “American diet”.

This girl from Norway does not do it for me. She actually pisses me of. If she had been born 15 years earlier she would have part of the ‘bad’ generation too. All a bit too simple.

“Germany gets all of its electricity now from renewables”. No. They don’t.

It’s not true that the Republicans aren’t doing anything, they’re making everyone miserable, they’re wasting time, and their chief contribution to anything and everything is stupidity. ABOVE EVERYTHING ELSE, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED, THEY ARE STUPID. Not worth hearing, seeing, being around. UNINVITED, UNWANTED, UNNEEDED, UNNECESSARY, UNAMERICAN, UNABLE, UNCHRISTIAN, PUT THEM OUT OF THE PICTURE. VOTE THEM TO THE ABYSS.

Clearly the birds and the insects are fine. Look out the window of the building you’re currently in… they’re currently fine.

Problem FIX: Gather up all the government officials and execute them! You think they give a flying fuck about the planet over their own pocket book. FUCK NO THEY DON’T! They’re allowed to debate it, thus you have already lost.

Okay people I know it’s a punchline by now but as bad as CO2 is, methane (yes, cow farts among many other things) is far worse, and reductions in methane work faster and have more impact. Please watch Cowspiracy on Netflix for a better explanation.

I’m wondering who is going to actually change their behavior to address this problem? Are people going to stop driving their cars? Are trucks going to not deliver goods anymore? Would Greta Thunberg in her infinite wisdom show us how to be “green” instead of just whining about it? I believe no one has a comprehensive plan to deal with this. Assuming that human beings have the will and ability to do it.

That privileged kid from a first world country needs to take her emotional rant to India to tell a few hundred million poor people they can’t have electricity because it hurts her feelings

I’m sorry Gina: it was already too late in 1995. We actually had a decent shot at saving ourselves then. By now? We’re over the cliff and headed for some very sharp and unforgiving rocks. These spokesmen seem to think we can keep moving the goal posts forward; for when it will finally be too late to turn back and repair the ecosphere. By 2050 the world as we once knew it will be so dramatically different that there will hardly be words to describe. Her response is just another fiction.
