I am buying this – they are enjoying the best of both worlds both victim and prey so to speak – they will be the one that suits them best at whichever time.

It’s a different thing voting for a Republican, and a very different thing voting for Trump.

1:24 her family is waiting in line for decades that’s why people come in illegally because legal way is broken. wall or no wall those people who wants to do things the right way have to wait for decades. I think that’s the problem.

As a Mexican, this was a really profound and eye opening conversation. I hadn’t truly taken the time to understand why Latinos would vote for Trump. A lot of people assume that because you’re Latino you’re automatically Democratic or anti-Trump, but there are so many nuances to the Latino vote that Democrats seem to not understand while Republics capitalize on it.

Ok, yes. Im hispanic and a Republican but a Regan, Bush, McCain type of republican. Trump is repulsive and an embarrasment to my chosen party. He needs to go!!!!

That makes no sense he is fighting for you. You better be careful you might be next, he doesn’t know the difference between you and the other latinos.

Father, dominican, Mother mexican, two different worlds. Dominicans are more conservative, Mexicans are more Democrats. Mexicans are proud of “La Raza”; Dominicans want to be as close as possible of being “Spanish”. Mexicans devoted catholics; Dominicans they are more Evangelicals. I am always amazed that Anglos put all latinos in the same basket; Dominicans are as different from Mexicans as English are from Italians.

“latino”, “latinx”, “hispanic”, “white”, “black”, “african”, “asian” and more others, are outdated labels which should be discarded because is not reflective of current times we are living in and more importantly of the challenges humankind will be facing in the future.

I think it’s mainly selfishness and greed. Most of my family members that live in United States vote for Trump, while us living in our home land just look at them like wtf. They believe republicans give them more jobs or higher paying jobs. Well yes because they’re constantly kicking out other immigrants looking for opportunities, so you have the chance to have that job. And is mainly on, no education needed based jobs.

Really great point of view. Personally I prefer LatinX it covers All Latinos & all the different destinations they come from, just like Black people there not all from Africa.

No shade or disrespect but hispanic/latinos is and have always been racist but thankfully not all. In my country it’s so obvious many do no care much for black people.
