just wondering, does you get pardoned
    – for a potential crime
    – or for a convictions ?
because a crime just becomes a crime by a conviction.

At first the GOP thought that their coup would succeed so they fully expected they would never be held to account for their treasonous behavior.

Then, when they realized that their coup had failed, and it dawned on them that they might be going to jail, they started begging for a pardon.

We already knew those politicians are crooked, I also expect Ted Cruz and Jim Jordan in the Mix. I did see Ted Cruz pushing people for the insurrection, and Jim Jordan on the Phone with trump numerous times the day of the insurrection.

All of these guys – Gaetz at the top of the list – should go straight to jail. 10-20 years.

I live in Florida and I would love nothing more than to see Gaetz charged and convicted.

There are five standard for permitting a pardon
Third is the individual’s acceptance of responsibility and self-awareness of how serious their actions were. The individual’s behavior, if they are creating excuses or reasons why they committed the crime, will greatly lower the chances of pardon. If the individual desires forgiveness and portrays complete responsibility for their actions, then the chances are much higher.[5] Generally, every person who is considered for a pardon exudes these behaviors.
