ReplyThis hubbub overpass shootings and prevention measures tell me that adults really don’t care about kids as fellow human beings.
ReplyI keep saying this and I don’t care if people disagree, but, I think compulsory law should be abolished for schooling. In fact, education after sixth grade requires paying out of pocket or mandatory volunteering work.
I been noticing they been redefining “mass shootings”. We had something called a mass shooting in our town but it was a gang shooting. People got in the way but it wasn’t someone that ran in shooting people at random.
ReplyAssault weapons is mostly a political term. Assault rifles are an actual term and they have been illegal for ages. The political term seems to be they just look scarier. In this last one the woman or man depending who you talk to (not a joke the media is saying woman she identifies as a man). she had 2 weapons on her. if they were smaller clips she would just put in another clip or carry another gun. But the issue is she was going through mental issues which is confirmed. Banning so called assault weapons will do nothing but having her doctor alert the police she is not fit to own a gun because of her state of mind would. Gun rights people will not like this because of potential abuses. But it is one direction … one that keeps getting tossed out the window by the left because the issue is mental health care, the issue is schools are not secure and haven’t been. it is nearly a quarter century since the columbine shooting, neither side is saying we need to make our schools safe. It should be a bi partisian hell yes …. but they just want to fight and keep their talking points and politicians don’t give a crap about dead kids. If they did they would pushed secure schools including security in all schools a quarter century ago. These kinds of things make people want to buy guns when they happen. Being rendered completely vulnerable to these maniacs is not a great solution.
Guns have nothing to do with it. The society that you have created, disenfranchised, mental issues left unchecked, anger, divisions.
That’s the real problem. Sin of the people and all kinds of abominations.
Switzerland has many guns, but they don’t have the issues as a society.
