I love that playground idea. It’s the kind of thing I did as a kid, played with my dad’s tools.

Having worked in emergency medicine since the Vietnam War, we “get to see” children killed or maimed (like losing a leg or arm) secondary to the STUPIDITY of parents. I’ve taken care of toddlers crushed by mothers in front seat of car who held them in their laps rather than putting them in baby seats in the back. Way to go mom! Your answer to the air bag–your CHILD. I grew up on a ranch where we put up barbed wire fence BUT we had intelligent, experienced adults teaching us and watching every move.
    THIS video is stupidity.
TEACHING with guidelines and safety is SMART: heavy leather gloves, leather chaps, steel toed boots, safety goggles and adult supervision. In 50 years of emergency medicine I have never seen an “accident.” Someone ALWAYS screwed up. Heartbreaking to see what parents do to children. Encourage learning but with safety!

Adventure parks actually have parents watching and there is actual structure to them. They arent just a junkyard. They are actully really cool and this just simplifies them a lot

We had a “playground” like that at my school when I was young. I grew up in Denmark.

I literally uttered ” *no-fucking-way* ” the first few seconds of that expository news segment. It was an uncontrollable outburst. Holy shit, what a stupid idea.

I don’t know why people are outraged. I grew up in an environment like this. In Africa. That shit will make you tough.

I didn’t 100% agree with the sentiment of this segment, but Ronny Chieng is the best
