Environmental Racism: How It Started vs. How It’s Going | Full Frontal on TBS

Great news! Joe Biden is signing climate change-based executive orders AND appointing people of color to take the lead on environmental justice for the first time ever. And it’s not a moment too soon for communities of color who have been disproportionately suffering the ill effects of corporate greed and environmental racism. It’s time to get those resources to the people who need them the most. And also, some fucking clean water, please.

Science-denying American Republicans are so certain they’re right and the science world is wrong that they’re even fighting to deregulate everything to further accelerate our rate of burning fossil fuels and the pillaging of the planet for their own personal greed (fear).

They’re willing to bet the world and all of its inhabitants on their certainty (limitless greed). #FearAndGreedRule #EmpathyFreeGOP

Every single American Republican policy puts fear and greed (fear) before people and planet. Fear (and the empathy and critical thought it kills) is what separates the right from the left. The fear at the root of ”Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind.”—Albert Einstein

Liberals hate American Republicans because all of their policies put fear and greed (fear) before people and planet (including equality and empathy).

American Republicans hate liberals for the exact same reasons, because they’re afraid we’ll get in the way of their fear and greed.

Sam Bee has always supported patently sold out Centrist candidates HRC, Biden, etc and always stood against Bernie Sanders. Deplorably!

I grew up in Buffalo and the government is letting people build homes in Love Canal, again. The hazardous waste is still there, still seeping into the ground water through cracked reservoirs. Let’s live there, right?

Well 1 year… Make them live there and drink that same water for one year. No paying out, 1 year is OK.

This issue is one of the reasons why Covid 19 is hitting BIPOC so hard. For example, South Bronx has some of the highest rates of asthma in the country. Why? Pollution. When Covid 19 hit New York, South Bronx had the third highest infection rate of NYC and the Bronx overall had the largest death and hospitalization rates.

This is so heartbreaking because the big mitten has the best water on the planet and people so nice and polite I get asked if I’m Canadian. “Oh, gawsh nuh, my mother just raised me right.”
