Brett talks about writing for “Ted Lasso” on Apple TV+, the moment he knew he would make a great Roy Kent, being nominated for an Emmy, his dad loving football, cursing a lot, and Jimmy comes up with a way to disprove a very strange rumor that his character Roy is actually CGI.

He sounds exactly like Roy, while also sounding nothing like him

Weird watching Brett on Jimmy Kimmel after a year of listening to his podcast ‘Films to be Buried With’. It’s like watching a mate suddenly turn up on a late night talk show. I feel proud of him. Back of the net, Brett, back of the net.

I first really saw him in the BBC Three show Uncle, I’d guess that’s why he’s playing Roy because his other character in Uncle was very similar

This guy is an incredible talent. Not only does he completely own the role of Roy but also manages to find the voice of every other character as a writer.
