When she talks about black marching bands, is it that the whole or majority of the band happens to be black, or are there segregated marching bands out there? I love the history of marching band and it’s black roots, and I enjoyed the video, I’m just curious.

Literally had to look up what HBCU stood for. I’m originally from MA and moved to GA in June2020. I’ve learned more about slavery, black culture and black injustice – in the past 1 year — from the Daily Show – than I was ever taught in school or otherwise, in MA.
I do appreciate what I am learning, but seeing just how corrupt and unjust and unfair America really was, AND CONTINUES TO BE, is just…. I don’t know, it’s just making me realize that we as a people, as a society… we’re really not evolving, in any sense of the meaning of that word. I don’t know what we’re doing considering how far back slavery was ended, yet we’re seeing the same old injustices again and again….
Sadly, this explains a lot though.
