In my journalist days, I interviewed the gentleman who created Kwanzaa. I respectfully wished to myself that it was an actual African celebration from the Motherland. That I could get on board with; this not so much. Not a popular opinion, I know.

I was about to make a Kwanzaa video too, about making the Kinara and painting candles…my twins are 5 so it’s about time I started. I didn’t realize so few still celebrate it! I was under the impression more did, but I’ll still be doing it with my kids ❤️

As a swahili speaker I had no clue what kwanzaa was.

What they won’t tell you is that Kwanzaa was invented by Maulana Karenga.
Karenga would kidnapp, sexually assault and beat black women.
Not sure why Dulce would leave that part out 🤔

I’m still confused. Think we need some more in-depth marketing on this.

    – What salutation do we use (Happy or Merry) and to whom do we address?
    – So if someone says Happy Kwanzaa to me is it just because I’m black or because they think I’m not a Christian.
    – What ornaments do I use to decorate the house?
    – Are there any mythical creatures, like elves or Santa?
    – What songs do we play?

What is up with all these race baiting clowns ignoring Hunter Biden calling Obama the N word???? Don’t black lives matter? Or is suddenly okay to call black people racist names now????

I fell like it would catch on more if it was not right on top of Christmas because most people are done with family after Christmas. Lol maybe put it in June or July.
