    Before Big Gov got a hold of monetizing Schedule C drugs, people were free to decide for themselves. Doctors used to prescribe some of these drugs. Plus, regardless if it’s legal or not, people will still find a way. The professor’s persective is very Libertarian 🙌

    ~~~`the history of mankind is one of expanding consciousness at certain high social infrastructure stress points by using mind expanding substances there’s also a spiritual side that says that if they are used for the wrong reasons the person can open themselves up to entities I would probably say this is a groundbreaking forefront of a battle against the current structure and consciousness of humanity heading into a new age of Horus and Reuben~~~
    drugs are no more the problem for addiction than guns are the problem for murders. People are the problem, for all their problems. Everybody wants to blame something other than themselves for their problems. We are a nation of adolescence. Adults know themselves and deal with it.
    True their are functional people and our society should do well to identity and treat addiction rather than just throwing people in jail or alienating people. I just think the hard stuff might be a stretch until the fight with marijuana and other lesser things are not put down badly in more places in the country
    “Ban it.”
    Then…. the money earning flow shifts ways.
    Anything can be bad, if is not moderated. But whether is something legal or banned, that choice still up to oneself, because is not like it doesn’t find a way into neighborhoods.
    I haven’t read the book and honestly didn’t understand his argument for the first half of the video but what I have gathered is, drugs aren’t the problem, it’s people’s conditions (emotional health, unemployment, socioeconomic conditions) that we should be looking to address. But in our current society we get distracted, antagonize drug use, and miss the real story
    It’s known that drug abuse (just like teen pregnancy) goes down when people are educated about it. You are less likely to die of an overdose if you know what an overdose amount is. When people are educated they can spot the symptoms of an overdose earlier and save a life. But Americans love ignorance, especially when that ignorance makes people money.
    I think this man’s drug use is clouding his mind.
    Edit: I wrote this before watching the end of the video and when he said that drugs were banned because of racism, I was proven right.
    Also George Floyd said “I can’t breathe” while he was still standing up on the sidewalk, while he was sitting in the back of the police car, way before he was lying down and Chauvin had his knee on his neck. He was saying that because the drugs clouded his mind. How could he have not been able to breathe if he was just normally standing on the sidewalk?
    People, do not need drugs to make their lifes better or happier, and I am speaking from a personal experience, I have never tried anything in my 55 years ,a part from alcohol and tobacco!
    Since we already have legalised alcohol and tobacco and see the devastating effects of these two on those who are addicted , I don’t see the need to legally endorse further addictions ,this will just create another brunch of industry ,to enrich certain people! Nothing to do with race, or anything else, it’s all about being responsible parent, raising your children aware of the dangers of drugs, alcohol and tobacco, and personal choices .
