“Lifes purpose” is such a rich white people thing… This woman went to one of the most prestigious education establishments in the world (and she didn’t have to pay one single penny for that education either, despite being from a fantastically wealthy family), has never lived a day in poverty in her life, has never had to worry about paying her rent, she comes from a very privileged background, even her entry into “showbusiness” was facilitated by the wealth and privilege she was born into…and now she is going to tell other women (whilst sitting on top of a career in films) that they don’t need to worry about what they see in the mirror despite the fact that every space women who don’t come from a background of middle-class English privilege exist in is full of indicators and signs that the only way to get ahead in this world is being rich, conventionally pretty and white? FUCK OFF!

“I was all messed up and then by the grace of the goddess Emma Thompson made some remarks on Stephen Colbert’s television show where people go specifically to publicise their work or join in shilling for NFTs and told me I shouldn’t waste my lifes purpose …and now I’m a multimillionaire white lady from a privileged background too and all my problems have melted away”.

It is almost impossible to find your life purpose when you have bills that need paying and the whole of the civilisation you exist in tells you you should look a certain way or know that you are hot trash.

Beautiful in the way a person is beautiful. That’s how we should look at ourselves. Thanks Emma.

I thought she had a long, silly and totally naked Lovescene with Jeff Goldblum in “The tall guy”.

I joined my former hubby in the Cleveland Spencer Tinick art installation piece, nude,
w/2,743 others in 6/04. I gained a whole new appreciation for my body.

Over 40, fat, crippled, poor, mentally ill…. negative social value and it cost me everything… I am not allowed to love myself… and am punished horribly when I dare to do so… all the self-love in the world means absolutely nothing when society sees you as less than worthless…

I remember an anecdote Emma told about her and Stephen Fry on QI. She obviously is VERY aware of what she can do with her naked body…

Stephen you have the ability to gather great insights via rapport – wish the format allowed for this.
