ReplyI appreciate the sentiment and believe in equal rights. That said, cancel culture is toxic. It doesn’t take into account the morally gray areas that encompass all people or institutions. Trying to cancel someone because they didn’t believe in gay rights twenty years ago when modern America didn’t believe in gay rights twenty years ago is just idiotic.
I say this as a lesbian moderate liberal when, twenty years ago I would have been considered a radical liberal. I hate Fox News and everything they stand for, but cancel culture is anarchy. It ignores democracy by giving a GIANT voice to a specific group of people rather than the whole. And even if that anarchy is for good, it ignores the other members of society who share similar values but don’t act like teenagers without parents. And so you lose the voices of those people – like myself – who don’t think this behavior is acceptable.
Do you want change? All right. Let’s do it. But if you want me to be on your side – stop taking matters in to your own hands and work with the people around you. Otherwise, we have no reason to respect your cause or to care.

Lets see, people demand cancellation, it happens, they get fired but because they are white snowflakes they get tens or hundreds of millions as compensation. Shows cancelled are always for people who rely on funding, and most shows are … well funded by right winged billionaires. The only way to hurt billionaires.. is in their wallet.
