de-funding the police, and demolishing the police are wholly two different things.

Most cops follow the Creed of the ” thin blue line ” . That’s means to me , a indigenous Woodland Cree from Canada …that they can assault, murder and do anything they want to us and the “GOOD ” cops won’t stop them ..report them ..will falsify police records and stand and watch while they’re cronies break the law and Lie about . OLD BILL M. IS SOUNDING LIKE THE OLD WHITE MALES , CLUTCHING ON TO POWER WITH THEIR OLD LIVER SPOTTED HANDS BECAUSE HE DOESN’T HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT THAT OR EXPERIENCED IT .

If they take away qualified immunity, the police should stay home and see how civilized society really is . Will see who needs who . The people will beg for stop and frisk!!! Liberal cities are becoming shit holes , keep pandering to the far left, you reap what you sow!!!

Send a man to jail for 22.5 years in order to not have a riot. Sounds like justice to me.

You know, sometimes Bill Maher completely misses the concept. He talks a lot about people wanting the abolishing of police, but he never if rarely talks about true police reform. I guess it’s not sensational enough. And, by the way, I’d rather be woke to all that’s happening than to try to sleep my way through it. Stop trying to hijack the term to make it sound derogatory.

There are psychopaths out there, no shortage, so prisons are very necessary.

This is why people say bill Maher ain’t shit. First he makes a statement that makes you believe systemic racism isn’t real, then gives the best example of systemic racism, one of the best anyway. Then he acts like he doesn’t know that ban the police doesn’t mean in its present form and that it doesn’t get the point across to say reform. Reform is nothing with the same police and same attitudes. You send them to training and they come back the same cop with a bad attitude and outlook about the public. Policing is a rough job but they seem to approach it like people enjoy living in the conditions such as Chicago, Detroit or Philadelphia. You ask most of the people and they would take a way to a better situation. Your job is tough but your policing people whose lives are tough. Bill maher’s a pos

If someone in Edmonton Alberta , where I live , spit on a cop ???? Their Head would be beaten off their shoulders by around 10 EPS OFFICERS . BILL now you’re just making shit up . Our police force is 92 % white in a city that is 30% minority . And a jail population 30 % Indigenous . NATIVES make up 4.3 % of the overall population. That’s real racism . Not if I call some white guy a honky , ” reverse racism ” ?? Ya right .

Bill not get rid of the police force, but, take some of that training money to hire some psychological specialist and develop some intense programs to evaluate trainees. Of course it will take years to get it in some kind of way that will look like it working or a work in progress. Everything takes time. Now, is a great place to start.

15% of liberals can be complete idiots. They are not the majority. However, the majority of Republicans now favor authoritarianism. That is just a fact. I am not worried about the small number of idiots on the left and neither should anyone else.

Should have never listened to floyd requesting to be taken out of the car and be put on the ground. How many billions in damage could have been saved if ge never opened the back door of that police car.

Who exactly is this dude referring to by people who want to do away with prison? Even the most progressive neurobiologists I’ve heard about say prison is the best way to stop an uncontrollable offender. But inmates need psychological therapy if possible and prison sentences are already too long in this country.

Instead of defund the police how about we RE-fund social equity, help lift people out of poverty without judgement of how they got there!
