    No one wanted to watch Schitt’s Creek because it has a tired, old, dumb premise. Rich people fish out of water.
    But the premise isn’t the point. The character work is what made it what it is.
    I ignored it because it seemed “been there done that”, but it is so much more than that. The characters all have heart, all get fleshed out, all develop and evolve.
    The cast is incredibly strong, Dan Levy is gold, Catherine O’hara is a force of nature, they even get Chris Elliot to shine now and then. It really is a great show..

    I’m sorry but there are other much more “Canadian” shows imho. Corner Gas and the Red Green Show spring to mind.

    Reading these comments made me Im far from alone it the way I watch this show for comfort… especially now with everything going on. I can always tune into the wonderful world of Schitts Creek and feel a little bit more okay
