I think being a politician should be like being a criminal, any money you make from a book deal (or tv/film) should go to your victims. So Cuomo needs to spread that $5 million around to every New Yorker.

Corporation A funnels money to Company B who then have Company C that’s working for them invite the Politician to a speaker event. Politician attends the event at Company C and gets paid speaking fees by Company C, and then by coincident meets partners of Company C at the event and strikes some deal with them. Then the Politician “writes” a book, and magically some firm in China orders 200,000 copies of that book upon release. Wah-lah! The book is selling great!
